Kamto’s Circus: A Vote for Him Is a Vote for Cameroon’s Destruction

As Cameroonians prepare for the critical presidential election on October 12, 2025, it is time to pause, reflect — and expose — the dangerous political acrobatics of Professor Maurice Kamto, a man who somersaults from one contradictory position to another, leaving behind nothing but confusion, opportunism, and betrayal.

Let’s revisit his long and embarrassing trail of flip-flops:

  • 🔄 2019: Kamto declared that boycotting electionshas never paid off anywhere.”
  • 🚫 2020: He boycotted the legislative and municipal elections anyway, knowingly weakening his own party for 2025, just to “send a message.
  • 🎯 2024: He announced he would run for president “at all costs,” despite his party’s lack of parliamentary presence.
  • 💡 May 2025: He suddenly claimed, “We have elected officials!”
  • 🎭 July 2025: He gleefully announced his endorsement by MANIDEM while dismissing the fate of his own party as irrelevant to him.

In just a few years, Kamto has managed to advocate for and against boycotts, claim and disclaim loyalty to his party, and preach both unity and division — all with the same straight face.

This level of political gymnastics is not strategyit is opportunism, pure and simple.
Worse, it reveals something even more dangerous: Kamto cannot be trusted.

After the 2018 presidential elections, Kamto lied shamelessly to his supporters, falsely claiming he had won — while knowing very well that was not true. This reckless lie stirred unrest and cost lives, yet he never took responsibility. A leader who manipulates his own base with falsehoods is unfit to lead a nation.

Even more alarming is the gaping hole where his vision should be.

Where is Kamto’s economic policy? How does he plan to create jobs, fight inflation, or grow the economy? He won’t say.
What is his foreign policy? Other than acting as Paris’ favorite son, Kamto has no clear stance on protecting our sovereignty.
And on the Anglophone crisis? Beyond vague platitudes, he offers no concrete solution to end this national tragedy.

Instead, his campaign boils down to one tired slogan:
Paul Biya is too old.
Ironically, Kamto himself falls within the same age bracket — a fact he conveniently ignores.

The truth is, Maurice Kamto has built his career on serving French and Western interests. During his tenure as Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Justice, he defended policies that enriched foreign corporations while harming local industries. He is known in diplomatic circles as Paris’ golden boy, eager to auction Cameroon’s oil, timber, and minerals to France and multinational corporations in exchange for their approval.

Kamto personifies the neocolonialism he claims to fight.

📣 A Warning to Cameroon’s Youth

Young Cameroonians, do not be deceived by his polished rhetoric and foreign media hype. Look closer and ask:
— Where is his plan for our economy?
— What is his vision for sovereignty?
— How will he heal our divisions?

On October 12, 2025, stand firm. Do not let Cameroon be sold off to the highest bidder in the name of “change.”

A vote for Kamto is a vote for:

☠ The destruction of Cameroon’s sovereignty.
☠ The sale of our resources to France and its corporate allies.
☠ A deepening of national crises.
Empty promises, lies, and endless political theatre.

🔎 Your Vote Is Your Power

This election is not merely about replacing one man with another. It is about protecting Cameroon’s future from predators — foreign and domestic.

Kamto has lied before. He cannot be trusted now. Do not mortgage your destiny to a man who treats the nation as his personal circus.

The world is watching. The stakes have never been higher.
Choose wisely. Choose Cameroon. Not Kamto.
